Presented on a beautiful, engravable base, this pounamu axe is a stunning decorative piece. The handle is intricately hand carved on both sides and inlaid with paua eyes. The feature of this piece is the stunning greenstone axe blade which is firmly bound to the handle with black cord. The greenstone, or pounamu is a lovely shade of green with dark flecks indicative of New Zealand's native pounamu.

Base measures 54 cm long
Axe measures 43cm long and the head/blade is 13.5cm long
