Filter socks are a critical component in maintaining water quality in aquariums. They remove excess food, detritus, organic wastes, and other particulates to lower ammonia levels and other undesirable substances which often lead to excess dissolved organics, nitrate, and phosphate when left unchecked.

Used as mechanical filtration for any sumps and diy filters
