A good clean copy of this First Edition By D. PLUNKET BARTON published in 1914 By JOHN MURRAY of London, and HODGES FIGGIS of Dublin. A couple of stains on pages 2-3 and some very slight age spotting on a few pages but in general is free of foxing or discolouration. This book is ex The Library of The New Zealand General Assembly (the old New Zealand Parliament Library) and carries the General Assembly Crest in Gilt on the front cover & spine, and has the General Assembly reference sticker on inner cover....also has the library card on rear cover.....issued out only once in April 1930. Some scuffing to covers but tight on spine and a good copy. The French-born Jean Baptiste Bernadotte (1763-1844) ruled Sweden and Norway as King Charles XIV John from 1818 to 1844.
