Edmund Blampied Pencil Sketch 'Brother John'

A small framed Sketch by Blampied ......SIGNED..... "Brother John... To Peggy....EB". The Sketch is just 3 1/4" x 2 1/4" in a frame 13 1/4" x 10 3/4". Edmund Blampied (30 March 1886, in Jersey – 26 August 1966, Jersey) was one of the most eminent artists to come from the Channel Islands, yet he received no formal training in art until he was 16 years old. He was noted mostly for his etchings and dry points published at the height of the print boom in the 1920s, but was also a lithographer, caricaturist, cartoonist, book illustrator and artist in oils, water colours, silhouettes and bronze.
