This is one of 11 different tapa, shell, and woven purses and ketes from a collection that we are now offering. I'm not certain of the Islands of origin as tapa work is done on most of the Pacific.....Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga are the major ones of note. The Ketes made from woven flax are likely to be of New Zealand Maori origin. All these items are Vintage ...not new...so have some small wear signs usually. This purse is a most unusual and beautiful South Seas item....a real eye stopper....mix of gorgeous Sea Shells and colourful Seed Pods.Size is 8.75" x 6" and 3.5" in width.
