New Zealand has more than its fair share of flightless birds. The Kiwi and the Kakapo certainly steal the limelight most of the time, but let's not underestimate the humble Takahe. The Takahe is another endangered New Zealand bird, and is most easily recognised by its blue and green colouring and bright red beak and legs.
