VFM-224 USMC Guadalcanal 1942. Grumman F4F Wildcat WWII American carrier-based single-seat fighter. The Wildcat was the only effective fighter available to the US Navy and Marine Corps in the early part of the Pacific War. Diecast metal model. Fixed cockpit canopy, no pilot figure. Some assembly required (prop, antennas, and landing gear). Landing gear can be shown up or down, and a display stand is included. This is a heavy little model, approx. 11.5cm x 15.5cm (4.5" x 6"). It comes from a budget range and is packaged in a blister pack.
