1/72 1979 Vought A-7E Corsair II, USN VA-93 Blue Blazers

Vought A-7E Corsair II US Navy Attack Squadron 93 (VA-93) Blue Blazers, USS Midway. Designed as a longer-range, higher-payload replacement for the A-4 Skyhawk, the A-7 entered service during the Vietnam war. It's leading edge technologies included the first use of a turbofan engine, and "head-up" display. Diecast metal model with some plastic parts. Tinted bulletproof windscreen, opening canopy, and pilot figure. Other features include steerable nose wheel and removable ordnance. Approx. 20.5cm x 16cm (8" x 6.25"). NO DISPLAY STAND.
