King Edward V111 Coronation Tankard 1937
This is in excellent overall condition with no cracks or chips. Stands 3 1/2 inches in height and approx 3 1/4 diameter at its widest point. Edward V111 took the Throne in January 1936 but his plans to marry the American Divorcee, Wallis Simpson, lead to a Constitutional Crisis and he abdicated the Throne after just 11 months. As an item made to celebrate a Coronation that in fact never occurred this is a highly collectible piece.
