A lovely little chromed ashtray with a depiction of the ship in the bowl which is done beautifully using BUTTERFLY WINGS. The ashtray is 3 3/4" x 3 1/2" in size. This ashtray is probably circa 1960 - 65. SS Oriana was the last of the Orient Steam Navigation Company ocean liners. She was built at Vickers-Armstrong, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria and launched on 3 November 1959. She sailed as an Orient Line ship until 1966 when that company was fully absorbed into the parent P&O group. ORIANA sailed under the P & O LINE until removed from service in 1986...she was to be used as a hotel ship but sank at berth in 2004.
