2 tbsp SpicenEasy Cornflour
2 tbsp cold water
2 cups beef, chicken, or vegetable stock
Pan drippings from roast meat (optional, but recommended)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
Make a Slurry: In a small bowl or jug, mix the cornflour with the cold water until you have a completely smooth, thin paste. This is the key to preventing lumps!
Heat Liquid: Pour the stock (and pan drippings, if using) into a saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
Thicken the Gravy: While whisking the simmering stock continuously, slowly pour in the cornflour slurry.
Simmer: Continue to whisk for 1-2 minutes as the gravy thickens and comes back to a simmer. It will become glossy and smooth.
