Nice little brass and enamel souvenir badge for the DUNERA...just under 1" diameter. The Dunera as built in 1937 by Barclay Curle on the Clyde, Scotland. The MS Dunera was originally a troop ship but was converted to a floating school by The British India Steam Navigation Co Ltd. She provided dormitory accommodation for pupils together with classrooms, lecture theatre/cinema, library and deck space for sports. There was accommodation for teachers and also for a few independent travelers.Her first schools cruise was from Greenock on 12th April 1961. She was scrapped in Spain in 1967.
